Philanthropy is a cornerstone of the Epsilon Zeta Chapter as we believe that it is our duty to use our resources and community to help less fortunate groups in any way possible. We take great pride in being able to provide for these groups whether that be through raising awareness, providing resources and tools, lending a helping hand, or simply dedicating our time. All donations and support are always greatly appreciated.
On September 8th, 2019, the Epsilon Zeta Chapter voted to support Team Gleason, a nonprofit organization founded by Steve Gleason, former New Orleans Saints Safety and Alpha Tau Omega alumnus from Washington State University. Team Gleason is committed to finding solutions and providing for those living with ALS and other related neuromuscular diseases. Since Team Gleason’s founding, the group has had a significant impact on the lives of countless people living with ALS. While the organization has spent millions of dollars providing equipment, technology, services, care, life-changing adventures, and more, the impact of the group goes well beyond its direct mission.

Events
Gleason Fest is our Signature Event for the Spring Semester and constitutes a concert featuring local bands performing live music, games for the entire family to participate in, and plenty of food and drinks for guests to enjoy their time while supporting such a great cause! Funds are raised by selling admission tickets and t-shirts, sponsorships, and individual donations. In the Spring of 2021, the brothers of Epsilon Zeta were able to raise over $4,000.
Jambalaya Jam is our Signature event for the Fall Semester featuring live music, fresh jambalaya, a silent auction, and a gift card raffle. This event offers several opportunities for guests to support our philanthropy while also getting a chance to win prizes that anyone would enjoy! Funds are raised through ticket sales for admission and the raffle, t-shirt sales, silent auction bids for various items, sponsorships, and individual donations of any amount.
Viking Week Raffle allows donors to purchase raffle tickets for their chance at winning a gift card ranging from $50-$100 to one of seven local businesses and restaurants including Raising Canes, Blu Spero Boutique, Dicks Sporting Goods, Lululemon, Walk On's Bistreaux, Bengals and Bandits, and The Chimes! In the Fall of 2021, the brothers of Epsilon Zeta sold over 130 raffle tickets bringing in over $1,300. With this being a brand new event, we are glad to see that it produced more support than we first expected and will continue to see how it can be improved!
Tacos with the Taus is an event hosted at the ATO House where guests purchase tickets to come and eat fresh tacos, play corn hole, listen to live music, and just take a break from the busy world of school and work! This event allows for a high amount of participation from LSU Students since it is hosted on campus and gives us a chance to meet and interact with friends in sororities and other campus organizations.
